Road Safety Week.

This week is Road Safety Week . We encourage students and families to be safe on their way to and from school. Please comment on our blog with your safety message. Thank you!

Kia ora Whanau, welcome back to Term Two! My Name is Rose Hansen I will be the new teacher in Room 20. Please come in and say hello if you have the time. I look forward to an exciting year with the class. Please check out these important dates for Term Two: We have jumped straight back into lots of learning...music with Mal, Te Reo Maori... instructional writing... and multiplication outdoors! Congratulations to Tia-Maria and Masei on their certificates this week.

Talofa, Kia Ora and Welcome!!!!! Term 1 Room 20 2019 It is a privilege for me to work with your family and become part of your child’s learning journey. During the year I hope to foster the children with a real love of learning. I also want to create many opportunities for them to bring their interests and ideas into the class. Here is what a typical daily time table looks like: roll call, fitness, news, writing, reading, morning tea, maths, handwriting, spelling, language, lunch time. Afternoons will be a mix of handwriting, art and craft, topic, P.E and assemblies. H ome Learning : In Year 3/4 the main home learning is reading for 10-15 minutes. We will also be preparing maths focusing on basic facts and problems solving skills. Reading Logs: Year 3 children usually have a book for two nights. Reading the book twice helps the children become more familiar with new words a
