Tuesday 24th November was Room 6 and Room 8's trip to Mairangi Bay for our Waterwise activities.
The weather was fantastic and the students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and now know to
1. Swim between the flags
2. Make sure an adult is watching over them while in the water
3. Learn to recognise rip currents - IF IN DOUBT, STAY OUT
4. Be SUNSMART

What do you do if you get caught in a rip?
1. DON'T panic
2. Raise you hand to alert surf lifeguards
3. If you can, swim parallel to the beach and NOT against the current.

Her are some photos of our lovely day - we hope you enjoy viewing them

We collected all the stones on the beach so we didn't get hurt when we played our games
